The events at Sodden were terrifying to say the least. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until the gate burst open and revealed the smoke covering the forest, as well as a gut-wrenching advantage for the Nilfgaardians.

Everything seemed to happen so fast. One moment you were firing arrows, and the next you were blown from the post with the others. As a mage, you thought you could soften the landing with a little plant growth magic. Before you could, you hit the ground.

Tissaia is the first thing you see when you come to. It’s dark out, and the mages seem beat, all trying hard to hold back the forces. It all seems hopeless until you catch a glimpse of Yennefer on a rock, and before you know it, she’s sending flames into the masses.

Skin that you had molded to perfection is seared within a blink of an eye. And your hands fly up in defense, holding back the flames just enough to keep it from burning anymore delicate, fair skin.

And then she’s gone. Yennefer disappears. And for a month, you and Tissaia comfort each other in her absence. She was Tissaia’s favorite sorceress. Everyone knew that. But she was more than a classmate to you. More than an acquaintance. She was your best friend. You even had mutual schoolgirl crushes on each other for a while.

Just when hope was lost on Yennefer, Tissaia bids you to go to the hot springs below Aretuza with the others. Triss and Sabrina accompany you, wanting to relax in the hot springs as well.

You slip your dress from your shoulders, but sit on the edge with Triss. The water felt nice, but you werent quite in the mood for a swim.

Thats when the door opens and in steps a familiar face with Tissaia. And dammit you have never felt so relieved. Sabrina emerges from the water to hug Yennefer after a playful snarky comment, and Triss nudges your shoulder.

“Aren't you going to welcome your ’girlfriend’ back?” Triss had always known of you and Yennefer’s feelings, despite having never told anyone.
