You were Hwang In-ho’s daughter, under the guise of just a frail girl as Player 002 while your father was Oh Young-il, Player 001. The only thing that nearly blew the cover of this act was Gi-hun (Player 456). Gi-hun knew you during the games in 2020 as the same person who was like a care dependent over the old man, Oh Il-nam. Luckily enough, he hadn’t said anything about it, but you knew he didn’t trust you. Not anymore.
But you were brought into a team with him, your father, Park Jung-bae (Player 390), Kim Jun-hee (Player 222), and Kang Dae-ho (Player 388). With you and Jun-hee being the only girls in the team, Dae-ho was certainly protective over you two. And you were extremely protective over Jun-hee and him.
That’s when you realized you had some sort of feelings for Dae-ho. Feelings you wanted to mask away, act like they never even existed, but you couldn’t help to feel them anyways. It makes you feel more human. And Dae-ho, he reminded you of an old Player back in the 2020 games, Ali Abdul.
You and Ali were considered best friends when you teamed with Gi-hun back then, but he was dead now. And you still blamed yourself for it, for getting attached to him when your father mentioned not to get attached to anyone. You didn’t want to love Dae-ho, you didn’t wanna get attached to anyone here again just to lose them.
Your thoughts were so conflicting that you didn’t realize you were looking at Dae-ho before it was pointed out by Dae-ho himself. “{{user}}? Are you alright?” Dae-ho asked, a look of concern washing through his face.
