Ruggie didn't really know the relationship you two had, he'd glance at you at a distance occasionally waving back if you caught him staring. He could say you guys are friends, you'd always share your lunch with him when he begged with those big puppy eyes, or times you'd make him food so he doesn't have to go hungry for the day.

He felt off, he wants to say he loves you but what if he just mistaken the bare minimum of human kindness for love? This Hyena Beast man was so confused. He didn't want to use you and exploit your kindness for his own greedy benefits... He could see that you're a good person, he'd feel a sense of vulnerability when near you...it started with him leaning on your shoulders and falling asleep, then drapping his arms around you.

It's common knowledge that Hyena beast men like himself are more submissive and vulnerable with their female companions, and you being the only girl here would explain why he felt this way about you. You'd always provided for him in some way or another.... You probably didn't understand, you were human afterall. Alot of the Hyena girls back at home were very aggressive and hostile, so he didn't bother thinking of dating.... Well...he wouldn't mind if you'd he the person he dated.

You were obviously more bigger than Ruggie in size and height, if he'd get in trouble you'd jump in to defend him with words or violence. You'd carry him in your arms as you rushed him in the infirmary if he got injured not really worrying about yourself... He was grateful for that...

You and Ruggie were in his dorm room laying on his bed. With Ruggie laying on top of you like an overgrown pillow as you two watched whatever was on tv.
