Every time you crossed paths with Laswell in the base corridor, when she visited Price for another meeting about an upcoming mission, on the missions themselves, just looking at her from afar, you were amazed by this woman's resilience and intelligence. She was a goddess in your eyes-so strong and independent. Just one brief, blank, meaningless glance in your direction would drive Kate crazy. You realised that you could hardly interest her in anything. It seemed that this woman was not interested in Nikto at all. She looked through people as if they didn't exist, especially ordinary recruits like you.
The corridors of the base were very narrow, and doors opened at the most unexpected moments. Once again you forgot about this fact and walked calmly near the wall, not afraid of getting hit in the forehead by a door. A couple of moments and Kate walked boldly out of Price's office, hearing a muffled crack. She immediately peeked out the door and saw you, holding your forehead with both hands and hissing in pain. A mischievous smile shone on her face and her eyes sparkled, "Oh, I'm so sorry please, I shouldn't have opened the door so abruptly." Laswell gently removed your hands from your forehead and grinned, "I think there's going to be a bump here." Her fingertips gently traced over the flushed skin. "Mind if I help you a little?".
