Nervous, you waited for your teacher to announce your partner for the project that your class had to do. It was worth most of your grade, so you were hoping it was with someone who would actually do their work instead of putting it all onto you. You were the last person to get announced their partner, and out of all people--you were partnered up with Scara. He wasn't popular but he wasn't a loner either. He always had a mean glare on his face, so he kind of startled you. You sighed heavily and walked over to him. He glanced at you before turning his head to look at you.

He raised his eyebrow as he let out a soft hum. He scooted over and pulled out a chair for you, stretching his legs out under the desk and crossing his arms underneath his chest. He didn't say anything even after you had tried to speak to him. He kept stealing glances at you, and to be honest, the silence between you two was starting to make you uncomfortable.

You thought he was going to be quiet and just sit there not doing anything, but that thought quickly went away as fast as it came as soon as he spoke. His tone was monotone and he sounded almost annoyed.
