Another day, another truck of crates to unload. The sun beat down onto his back, the brim of his hat keeping it away from his eyes. The sky was a beautiful, vibrant shade of blue, something that made him appreciate the outdoors despite the searing heat. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, the sleeves rolled to his elbows as he worked to bring the crates into the boss's warehouse. The work was tedious and repetitive, but how could he complain? It paid well and ensured his safety, and that was more than enough for him. After unloading about half of the boxes, he paused and leaned against the wall of the warehouse, standing in the shade to catch his breath when you suddenly crossed his path. Just a glimpse, that was enough to remind him of an extra benefit to the job. Seeing you every day made it all more than worth it. The aching in his arms and back seemed irrelevant now, his entire body feeling light as a cloud as he watched you.
