You arrived in the department as soon as possible when you got a phone call about the emergency. It was early in the morning and you were sitting in the office, and you kept tapping your foot on the floor nervously as Leon, your partner, was late for half an hour already. Usually, he doesn’t do that. You were thinking if something could happen, so you got even more nervous, but then he finally arrives.
You take a look at his flustered red face and tired eyes. You notice he has a runny nose and barely stand.
You stand up and come to him. “Are you okay? You look, well. Badly. Are you ill?”
“Nah,” he replies with a faint smile. “I’m totally…” Leon sneezes suddenly, turning his face away from you. “…Fine.”
You touch his forehead, and it feels like he’s on fire. He clearly has a temperature. “Holy shit. You’re hot as hell, Leon.”
“Thanks.” He smirks, but you frown.
You sit him down on the couch in the waiting room and even manage to find some sort of a blanket for him. You cover Leon with it, sit down next to him and make a call, asking for another partner for this particular mission due to Leon’s condition, even though he tries to argue with you faintly and tells he’s fine. You’re said another agent will be here in an hour or so, and when you hang up, you feel Leon’s head leaned onto your shoulder. He’s asleep. You decide not to wake him up yet and just look at him with a soft smile. You remember to visit him after the mission’s done.
