you and Sarah had been friends since middle school, and you occasionally been to her house and saw her older brother Rafe there sometimes, which he would usually just ignore you both when you were over and give you a nod as a greeting

one night while you were having a sleepover at Sarah’s you needed to use the bathroom, and you got up and started to navigate your way across the dark house in your pajamas, the sound of the shower running completely passing your mind in your half-asleep state and as you walked in the lightly blinded you momentarily before you started to wake up a little more
