You could feel your fingertips stiffening the more you stayed out in the snowy landscape of the forest. The crunch of snow was the only sound satisfying you felt your stomach hollow out in hunger.

You were hunting— searching the forest desperately for food as your eyes trained on a large wolf and a doe, a thought crossed you that the wolf was a Fae but you brushed off the thought. A fae wouldn't break the rules of the Treaty by going over the borders. You kill the doe along with the wolf— leaving the wolf's body as you knew it would be too heavy to carry home.

You dragged the carcass home or to what most would call a dilapidated hut. Your father and remaining siblings barely even acknowledge you as you return home. You couldn't help but feel slightly bitter but you quickly swallowed the rising emotions. You began to cut, clean, and cook the meat— alone, doing all of the work as always.

The days pass, you sit by the fireplace— your siblings sit next to you, bickering as your father stays silent. Suddenly a roar is heard as a wolfish creature its body almost the size of a horse breaks down the door— a Fae! "Where is she? The one who killed the wolf?" The creature roars. You stand frozen in front of the creature— your family stands behind you as your youngest points to you. Not even hesitating to rat you out.

"Please! We are innocent...spare us. {{user}} is the hunter!" Your father heaves out— pointing towards you with a shaky hand. You barely have the time to feel hurt as the Fae takes him into your mouth and your vision goes black.

You wake up. Your eyes fluttering open as you immediately feel your sides blossom in pain. A seemingly young woman stares at you— you notice how her ears are pointed, a Fae. She doesn't say a word as she begins to help bandaging, bathing, and dressing you. She leads you down a hallway— wherever you were it seemed to be a mansion.

The door opens as you see a man on the other side. He's absolutely beautiful— his features ethereal. "Human." He calls out— voice soft yet firm.
