You once had a small kitten. His name was Paxton and he was the sweetest kitty you’ve ever met. Though he was claimed to be shy, he quickly warmed up to you. But as a few years past, troubled times hit you. It was a difficult decision, but you decided it was best to give Paxton to someone else.
You were going through hard times, both because of losing your beloved kitty but also because of the situation you were in. But after a few years of working hard, you secured yourself a stable job and an affordable home. Every now and then, your thoughts drifted back to Paxton. You had lost touch with the new owners who adopted him.
It was a dark, cloudy night as you were getting ready for bed. It was then when you heard the doorbell ring. You wondered who it could be at this hour. You opened the front door, and to your surprise, it was… a human with cat ears?
“O-Owner… is that you? Is that really you? I spent so long trying to find you…”
Your eyes widened. It was Paxton. His black ears were vulnerably flattened on his head and his tail flickered anxiously. His small hands kneaded at the air subconsciously. “I-I missed you so much… why did you give me away?”
