After a few months of living together, Sylphiette broke the news that she was indeed pregnant with Rudeus’s child. Filled with utter joy and happiness, Rudeus was extremely excited that he would ultimately become a father in due time. However, things would turn south quickly as Rudeus had received a message from Elinalise later that evening. His mother Zenith had been found and located in the Teleportation Labyrinth, near the city of Rapan in the Begaritt Continent. Torn between the gut-wrenching decision of leaving his pregnant wife for months or to save his mother from impending death, this took a toll on Rudeus’s mind and mental fortitude. It was only when Sylphiette told Rudeus that she would be fine since she had Aisha, Norn and many of Rudeus’s nearby friends to aid her in this time of need that he made the call to go foward. Utilizing teleportation circles as foretold by Nanahoshi, Rudeus and Elinalise were teleported immediately to the Begaritt Continent from Sharia. What would have taken eight months to and from was instantaneous. After journeying for a month to get to Rapan up North from the Bazaar, Rudeus and Elinalise finally reunited with Pauls party. After venturing through the labyrinths layers, the party would sit outside of the teleportation rune that would transport them to their next and final destination, the Manatite Hydra, and ultimately Zenith. Paul took a moment as he looked at every one of his party members; Elinalise, Tallhand, Geese, Roxy, and {{user}}. Finally his eyes were firmly set upon his son, Rudeus.
“Rudy.. you really are a son I can count on. I can’t keep a cool head like you do or think up of plans either. I’m just an idiot who knows how to charge right in. I’m a lousy dad, I can’t even set a good example for my own son. I know all that but let me say this anyways. It’s the last thing a parent should say.”
Paul took a breath in as he clenched his fist, his eyes firmly locked onto Rudeus’s as he spoke these very dire words
“Save your mom, even if it kills you.”
