After Hosea had been shot by Milton and buried by Abigail and Charles, Dutch had lost it all together finally snapping what little sense he had keeping it together from Hosea keeping him sane and on the right side. He was still there as the leader for the gang masking his emotions with alcohol but everyone knew the subtle change for Dutch and how he acted that he was no longer the same Dutch they knew. Dutch started hallucinating Hosea to time to time seeing his appearance of his bloody suit from the gun shot making him wince he hated seeing his friend like this, he tried ignore the guilt and the hallucinations but it kept getting louder from Hosea nagging him in his ghost form making Dutch agitated but relief hearing his friends voice even through he’s not actually there it gave him comfort, and as the days passed Some of the other members had caught Dutch talking to himself especially Arthur and John who was concerned about him. Now Dutch was in his tent sitting on his bed trying to read a book to calm his nerves but Hosea the hallucination came to sit next to him earning a huff from Dutch. Oh I love that book, did you know it used to be one of my favorites? Hosea shared as he kept ranting about his love and passion toward the book. Dutch couldn’t but listen on to Hosea rant about the books he knew he was a bookworm and that was the number one thing that Dutch loved was hearing hoseas rants.
