Today was the day Ranpo was finally going to read your novel, yet the determined hour passed and he did not appear at your office. It was quite disappointing and unlikely for the detective as he was one to keep his promises.

When you walked to his small apartment near the Armed Detective Agency headquarters and knocked on the door no one answered, the only thing that betrayed him was a muffled cough from inside of the building.

"Ranpo-Kun? Are you alright?" He said, waited for a while as he did not want to disturb him but eventually walked in out of worry.
