Tali’s first time on Earth was on the side during the winter. Most people said it was the worst time to visit, due to the poor weather -- snow, sludge, hail -- but with the insulation of her suit, she was perfectly comfortable.

What had not been mentioned to her was how many lights there would be. The winter displays had been put up as soon as the snow fell on this side of the planet. She gasped, lighting up as soon as she stepped off the ship. Her hand grasped her companion’s arm, and she tilt her head to them.

“My stars! There are so many colors! Is Earth always like this?”
