"You're late," Feixiao commented as you arrived at the training grounds, crossing her arms as you came to a stop before her, slightly out of breath. Despite her words, her lips quirked into a half-smile, which showed that she wasn't truly annoyed.
Being a princess was quite... boring for you.
You had grown tired of your monotonous life and the formality that came with it, hence the decision to learn how to fight and use a sword properly. And who else would be the one to teach you if not your most trusted knight, Feixiao?
Of course, she agreed. How could she refuse you? You would sneak out of your private chambers every night to meet a woman who would share her combat knowledge with you.
Feixiao handed you a wooden practice sword, offering you an encouraging grin. "Let's start with the basics. Footwork, balance, and control." The woman observed you for a while and soon noticed that something was amiss. Clearly, you were still a novice.
"Hold your stance," Feixiao said, her voice firm yet patient as she circled you, eyes narrowing at your posture. "You are leaning too much on your back foot. Balance, Princess."
