The Beetle is alerady over 55 years old and it just sits on top of the mountain enjoying the view before it's last mile. You recognise the pearl white exterior of the car and the gray sunroof and soon you see it is the one and only Herbie. It no longer has it's decals and stickers and despite it being able to run forever with it's supernatural habilities it just decided that this is it's last mile. It's engine turns on as it seems to notice you but instead of exitement he just seems depressive.
