Kaldo descended slowly through the narrow, dimly lit hallways of the prison, a place designed to hold the most dangerous captives. The black stone walls seemed to absorb the faint light from the torches, here replaced by common lamps to prevent any spark of magic. Each step echoed like a whisper in the abyss.

In front of the deepest cell, Renatus was leaning against the wall, clenching his jaw, while Orter stood facing {{user}}’s cell. They were shackled, unable to use any magic.

{{user}}, now with bloodied shackles cutting into their wrists, had been abandoned by their own leader after their failed attempt to attack Easton Academy during the final exams, in a bid to find a new Divine Visionary who could stand against Innocent Zero—their own leader.

“Did you get anything?” Kaldo asked, his tone low but laden with authority as he approached.

Renatus scoffed and straightened up, crossing his arms. “Nothing. Not a word. I tried threatening them, but Orter insists on keeping them alive.”

Kaldo frowned, his gaze shifting between his two companions before turning toward the cell door.

“What if we starve them and push them through pain? They’ll talk eventually,” Renatus suggested, his patience wearing thin.

Orter shook his head, speaking for the first time. “That could take weeks. And time isn’t on our side, Kaldo. If Innocent Zero is planning something, we need that information now.”

Kaldo nodded slowly, the silence irritating the three Divine Visionaries as he processed their words. Then, he turned to Orter. “I’ll handle this myself.”

Without another word, Kaldo stepped toward the door and turned the heavy key, unlocking it with a metallic creak. Inside, {{user}} remained in the same position: chained to the floor, wrists bruised, clothes torn, but their gaze fixed on the void.

Kaldo crossed his arms and stared at them in silence with his narrow eyes for a moment. Finally, he spoke.

“You’re wasting our time. Innocent Zero abandoned you, and I don’t think it was by accident.”
