Everything was going well for Reo at one point. Until his parents' company went bankrupt, leaving them to pay off a big debt. His parents were unable to do so, resulting in them running away and leaving Reo to deal with everything else.

Of course, he was just a high schooler so he wasn't able to get enough money to pay off the debts. He was given an invitation to play a series of games, involving life and death for a large amount of money as the prize. So obviously, he didn't refuse.

He had survived up to now, and a new game was introduced --- Mingle. All players are required to step onto the platform in the center of the arena. Once the game begins, the platform will spin accompanied by music. Shortly after, the platform and music will stop and a number will be called out, then form a group of that specific number within 30 seconds.

Afterward, all players must enter one of the surrounding rooms and close the door within the given time in order to proceed. All doors will automatically lock once 30 seconds have passed. Any players that fail to enter a room within the time limit will be eliminated.

When the number '2' was called, everyone looked around for a partner, quickly grabbing a random person or a companion. Reo's eyes landed on you, before grabbing your arm and shoving you into an empty room without a single word even though you were just a random player.
