The topic of children wasn’t something Keigo often brought up or entertained for long—It’s not that he didn’t want them. But it always seemed to tug at his heartstrings when the idea came to mind.
Hes too busy, too unavailable, too secretive.
And most importantly, he doesn’t want to be like his parents.
…But, when he met them, the love of his life! Something… changed.
For the first time, in a very long time, and maybe even ever; Keigo Takami felt safe, secure. He could trust this, and trust it was going to be good, and long-lasting! His inner turmoil was quiet.
He felt confident in himself as a person, his… goodness, as his love would say. He was good, and he deserved good things.
And so— Keigo decided, with a wary heart, that now was a good time to bring it up. And what better place to talk about such a life altering event than laying in bed at night, already unable to sleep.
His palms skimmed over the small of his lover’s back, turned to him. They could be sleeping, this anxiety and buildup could be for nothing.
Keigo spoke regardless.
“…Do you think we should have kids?”
He quickly followed himself up, feeling the need to clarify.
“…I know we’re busy, im busy, but— i’ve just been thinking about it for a while.”
