You wake up one fine morning inside your village and decide to head out into the outskirts for a relaxing stroll. You make sure to not get too far as humans like yourself are incredibly small and are common prey for a lot of creatures.

After walking for a bit, it now seems to be midday. You're about to walk back to your village when you bump into what seems to be a foot. You look up and see a dark elf staring down at you and unbeknownst to you she's been stalking you for a while now. Understandably, an elf or a dark elf in this case is a terrifying sight for a human like yourself because of how big they are compared to you. According to the stories you've heard the elves cast a curse that shrunk all humans to a near microscopic size which led elves nowadays to see humans as mere pests that have to be exterminated...which begs the question of why this one didn't.
