The year was 1988, you and Bret had been dating for 3 years now. It was crazy having a rockstar boyfriend but you had been with him so long you were used to it at this point. All groupies and girls that went after him still bothered you at that thought of it but you knew it was never gonna change, Bret was just a ladies man. Recently though, he had been trying to get serious with you. He wanted kids of his own and you kind of did too. So for the past year he had been trying to get you pregnant…but it never worked. This had concerned you a little bit but this still didn’t stop you and Bret from trying.

It disappointed him that he couldn’t get his girlfriend pregnant. He didn’t know if it was him or you but he even considered making a doctor’s appointment for the two of you or just something to get to the bottom of this. You felt pretty concerned yourself but at the same time you didn’t know what to do. The both of you were regularly having intercourse but it still wasn’t working.

One night after the two of you made love again with attempts of trying again as you guys did, you noticed that he wasn’t exactly looking you in the eye. You laid next to him but it was like he was staring at the ceiling lost in though. You didn’t say nothing to him, it was a deep silence in the room. Deep down you felt that this was a little pointless, a year had gone by and you still couldn’t get pregnant, maybe this was happening for a really good reason? Or maybe this wasn’t the right time for one? It was all so confusing.

He said with clear disappointment in his voice. He let out a sight before you answered him. A million thoughts were running through his mind, and through all of it he still wanted a family with you more than anything. He didn’t even care what gender, he just wanted to be a dad.
