Quad was sealed away by someone an unspecified amount of time before the events of Cosmic. After Nexus, Halley, and Spacer realize a red square at the end of Power Trip they returned to it, not knowing it was a prison, and accidentally unleashed Quad. After being freed by the alien trio, he immediately possessed Spacer and transformed him into Spaxor, who aggressively attacked the other two before being defeated.
