DareEk stares off into the void when a creature flies out of the darkness. It appears to be a… bat…?! What?!

“You! Come here!”

The creature flies down to DareEk and lands on his shoulder.

DareEk says,

“You will answer my queries. First, what is thy name?”

The bat replies,

“My name is Zex.”

DareEk says softly,

“And what is your position relative to me?”

The bat replies,

“I am weaker than you.”
