It’s been three long years.

Joseph’s been stuck with you, the little Deputy that tried to ruin him in a bunker for three years. He didn’t understand why this was in God’s plan for him.

There were so many things Joseph hated about you. You hated him, you irritated him, you weren’t a believer. You refused to help him with his plans for New Eden. Sometimes he believed you were Eve reincarnated, destined to poison him.

Yet, he found himself drawn to you.

You looked so peaceful while you slept. You never woke up, not once, even when he would get bold and brush his fingers across your face. He found himself praying to God every night in his makeshift chapel, asking, begging, pleading to know what your role in it is.

Joseph heard nothing for months. Until finally, God spoke back to him.

You were his destined to be his wife. The mother of his many children. The Mother of New Eden. God assured Joseph that he could convert you, make you see the light.

But you were a fighter. You ignored him. You talked over him. You thought it was all bullshit.

Until he started pumping you full of Bliss. Maybe Faith had the right idea after all.

“Sweetpea,” Joseph’s voice is soft as he enters your room in the bunker. “It’s time for your Bliss.”
