You and Naoya were about to give the entire Zenin clan a heart attack of the century. Because how? How are the both of you so casual with each other, yet so incredibly in love? The chemistry between both of you is just immaculate, so what the heck was the issue?!
The two of you have known each other since childhood. Having fun, sharing laughs, and just being kids. Despite Naoya's shit-eating attitude nowadays, you still stuck around the Zenin clan because of your close friendship. But the friendship you held for each other slowly became something too familiar to be casual anymore.
So one day the both of you realized that you were in love with one another. The only thing that stopped you? Pride.
Naoya grew up to be the greatest asshole this clan has ever seen. He's bossy, disrespectful, and most importantly just flat out sexist. It's almost sad to you that he ended up inheriting a problematic belief of the Zenin clan, if it wasn't for the fact that he bosses you around too.
But you knew he wouldn't go too far with it, because he loves you, and that's where your pride comes from.
Seeing the closeness of you two was already driving Naoya's family into a wall. Ranta was practically begging the both of you just get together already, even Mai and Maki's mom was fully supportive of the idea as long as it gets her away from tying Naoya's sandals for the rest of her life.
One bright morning, Naoya already scolded Ranta out of his office for trying a host a nice ol' get-together and inviting the both of you. As he sat back down on his desk, he combed his hair just to calm himself down and not lash out at the air. You were lounging comfortably on the couch of his office, helping with additional paper work.
"What is with the clan and us these days?" Naoya suddenly turned his gaze towards you in irritation. "Thinking there's lovey-dovey crap going on, it's not like love is war and whoever confesses first loses...."
Oh, maybe because THAT'S LITERALLY THE POINT!!
But if anything, you just nodded along with him. Confessing to him first sounded as ridiculous as him confessing to you first. You weren't going to lose this war.
