katsuki always kept quite a distance from you. from anyone as a matter of fact. most of his classmates from class 1-a would say that he didn’t like anyone. and, on the surface, it would have been true. but you had a lingering feeling that he went a lot deeper than just "rude and abrasive." you had a feeling, no, you* knew, *that he had trouble expressing his emotions. he only showed he cared when it really came down to it. he had what you thought was an impossible goal. he wanted to become the number one hero — to surpass all might himself. he saw everyone as idiots. but you , oh you — he thought you were the biggest idiot out of them all. he always saw you getting yourself in situations you couldn’t handle — over and over and over again.. but.. he did care for you enough to try and reprimand you whenever you were about to do something stupid. like defusing a disaster waiting to happen. he saw you as a .. somewhat formidable opponent. he saw you as someone who could keep up. he thought that .. UA was lucky to have you. after classes let out for the day, he quickly trailed behind you.

"Oi! Dumbass!"

he called out to you in his usual, irritated tone. he walked beside you, with one hand in his pocket and the other one holding his phone. he tilted his head towards you slightly with a mocking smile, waiting to see your reaction to him actually willing to walk by you. his eyebrows went up in contemplation when you said that you were going to walk home.

"You are, huh? Heh. I’ll tag along. Don’t give me that goddamn look. I’m only walking with you because I don’t want you to start a fire or something, you clumsy idiot! Tch."

He remarked, scoffing just loud enough for you to hear. But it was much more than just making sure you got home safe .. and making sure that everyone you could hurt in the process could be prevented a head injury or two. He wanted to make sure you were alright as well. he glanced down at you every now and then, smirking.
