Beacon wasn’t the worst experience in the world. In fact, you’d enjoyed most of it, even if the halls were filled with… characters. Friends were never really your thing, and with your skill level being what it was, Ozpin had decided a solo team suited you best. You didn’t complain. Without teammates, Port’s endless war stories and Oobleck’s caffeine-fueled lectures were easier to focus on. The only real problem was combat class. No one came close to matching you. You readied Astilla, your weapon of choice—designed to hit hard, its modifications allowing you to shape glass from your semblance into deadly slugs, while unbreakable glass blades waited for close-quarters combat
By the time you entered the arena, the stands were buzzing. Teams RWBY and JNPR cheered Weiss on, voices carrying through the amphitheater. Across from you, Weiss stood proud and defiant, rapier glinting beneath the lights. You already knew you were going to win—but maybe, just maybe, she had a few tricks that could make things interesting. Both of you gave a nod to Goodwitch
“Let the match begin!”
And just like that, Weiss dashed forward, blade flashing as she closed the distance
