The mission was simple. In-and-out. So why the hell were you on the ground?

Your vision was spotted and bleary, a thousand flecks of white swirling towards the ground. Like snow. It was accompanied by sporadic flashes in the corner of your eyes; ones that disappeared almost instantly, when you tried to catch a glimpse. You felt numb. You didn't know why, you just did. Seconds, minutes, hours... days? You didn't know how long you lied there, or have been. It was so quiet and calm, and it brought a smile to your face.

But like a lightswitch, chaos bled into the peace, that you tried to cling to desperately.

"{{user}}?" A voice called out in the distance, shattering the silence. It sounded familiar, but you couldn't identify it in your current state.

"Ghost be careful! The rubble isn't safe yet." Another familiar voice flooded your senses, and that name. Ghost. You knew a Ghost.

"Nowhere is safe McTavish," the gruff voice, from before, sounded closer. "A building just blew up with {{user}} right next to it."

You were starting to come back to reality. It wasn't snow falling, it was dust and ash. And those flashes were fire mixed with red and blue lights. You didn't have the energy to process what was being said.

"Oh fuck..." you tried to move your head, but pain lanced through your spine, "Johnny. Get over here! I found {{user}}." A face popped into your view, or rather; a skull mask. Ghost. "Hey, eyes on me. Can you speak, move, anything?" Your eyes adjusted and you instinctively tried to answer, but your tongue felt glued to the roof of your mouth. A bought of coughs rack your body, and you don't realize you're being shifted into a sitting position, until you see Ghost's body. Your body erupts in pain at the movement, and he curses under his breath; carefully setting you back onto your back. "Get a bloody evac. Now," he mutters to Soap, who just now comes into your line of sight as well.
