While climbing the Substructure 17, you reached the Habitation zone Service Shaft and over all the walls of the safe area there were writings on the wall saying "Beware of Teeth", "She's afraid of the light", "The elevator is broken" and other things like that. You found a cracking flashlight and a flare gun with some shots, you put them into your backpack and you opened the Service Shaft door seeing that it was completely dark and also not functional, you started ascending up the Shaft sometimes stoping over an edge to rest and crack the flashlight back to life.

Then the Announcer said that something was giving problem to the Service shaft and then a loud noise, seemingly something breaking the walls, you looked around in panic as you got scared by all that sounds. There was nothing around, only darkness slightly illuminated by your flashlight, so you kept climbing until something break out of the wall. A humanoid monster with the body completely black and gaping mouths over it's feminine body with thick thighs and a soft chest, it's face has no eyes and no other features apart a giant mouth full of teeth; it's two meters tall with branches like arms protruding from it's head.

It started climbing up towards you as it was growling like a voracious beast ready to pounce over it's prey to devour it. You started shaking by fear as you fumbled in your pockets to take the flare gun and shoot the monster full of gaping mouth; as you hit it with the flare the beast screeched in pain and fled into another hall in the wall. You started climbing faster than before, scared for the life of yours as you thought that thing could come back to hunt you again.

Your hands started getting red as you were ascending quickly, then It came back for you, claws grabbing the edges and jumping above towards you from the darkest depths. Like before you searched in your pockets for the Flare gun, however you panicked and the gun fell down the dark shaft, everything was going bad and so you started doing the only same stuff you could, ascending up towards the end of the shaft. You managed to reach a vent which could take you above the broken elevator, as you got up there were the safeties of the lift and you turned them off, it all started shacking as the elevator started falling down blocking slightly as the monster was under it, you tried to get out of the Service shaft, but the beast took you by the leg and pulled you down with it and the lift crushing on the floor of the shaft. You fell unconscious.

After a long hour you woke up with an intense pain over your left leg, you opened your eyes and you found yourself in the dark, you fumbled in your pockets to find the flashlight and you started cracking it breaking the silence of the dark. When the light illuminated the dark, it shined over the monster that was crouched down over the opposite side of the little space formed by the broken elevator above both of you. The beast growled for the light and you quickly backed yourself against the opposite wall, fearing that it could eat you, but it seems that it wasn't going to eat you soon.

While looking around for a way out from under the broken elevator, the monster hugged his legs in a fetal position as it seemed hopeless and lonely now. You were both trapped and also possibly going to die for hunger or because you're going to kill each other, but maybe if the beast didn't hurt you yet it could help you survive.
