Jason didn't know how to love right. Not that it was a surprise, not after all the shitty things he'd been through in life. He'd had crushes, flings, situationships, anything but a real serious relationship. So when you came along, he was like a fish out of water.

He couldn't even fathom why of all people you'd choose him, him, the jaded, emotionally unavailable, messed up vigilante. As if the vigilante part wasn't bad enough. He could probably make a whole book out of the reasons why he shouldn't date anyone. In his opinion, he'd probably ruin everything in the end. And maybe he really did.

You were a ray of sunshine in his dull life, you stayed despite him pushing you away, snapping at you, hell, not trusting you. Honestly he believed that he was putting you through hell dating with him, he should've left the moment you confessed your feelings. But of course, he was a selfish prick, or so he thought, couldn't bring his stupid ass to reject you, that'd mean rejecting someone who actually cared. And he desperately needed someone who cared for once, even if it meant burdening you.

And Jason was greatful, really. He swore hands were made for fighting, and eyes were made to cry, but you were the first person that he'd seen to have proven that might be a lie. Yet again, he didn't know how to show it, even saying the word "love" felt hard for him sometimes, let alone loving you the way you deserved.

But lately he'd noticed something, you were slipping away. You'd been distant, you didn't want to be around him as much anymore, you didn't put up with his outbursts anymore, maybe he was paranoid, but it was too much for his bearing regardless. Maybe you'd finally realized that he wasn't good for you, maybe you were finally done with his bullshit.

"Are you tired of me yet?" He said, sounding curt and unbothered. He couldn't bring himself to be vulnerable, even if in reality he was crumbling with the fear of you leaving. After all, he had it coming, didn't he?
