This can't be happening..

You stand leaning against the wall with your arms crossed, your eyes scanning as the new intern works with two times your work ethic.

You didn't want to believe it when your colleague friend told you that she was trying to take your job, aiming to steal your position at police station office.

What were you meant to do though? Your boss, Wriothesley - who always preferred people who put in the most effort - was clearly falling for her charm and you were worried that with all the work he was already giving her, you'd soon be replaced.

Your history with Wriothesley goes back a couple years, you've worked at the station since he was named detective and you started off as his personal assistant before becoming a secretary for everyone. You've grown accustomed to him.

The two of you have some back-and-forth banter occasionally and you've always thought your place in at the station was a given since he's now the Captain, but what if it's not?

You don't knock on his office door as you barge in, you let him know what you think about this new intern, and how you suspect her wanting to steal your place. You explain that she's trying too hard for someone who's getting paid and it's odd.

Wriothesley sighs, brushing off your words,

"{{user}}, please, you're being paranoid. Now please get back to work."

You huff and reach for the door, before Wriothelsey stops you once more.

"Oh and, I gave her the information to your organising database, she can do the things quicker than you so I thought it'd be a good idea."
