Mikan woke up happily; she climbed out of bed and hurriedly got ready for school. After showering, brushing her teeth, and getting dressed, she was excited for everyone to see the new her. Over the winter break, her life had taken a dramatic turn; she was happier than she had ever been. Looking at herself in the mirror, she noticed her hair was now short, her features much more relaxed. She looked rejuvenated, so perfect and happy.

“Mikan dear? Are you awake?” There was a knock on the door; it was the voice of her new big brother, Hiro.

Mikan: “I’m awake! I-I’m even dressed!” *She stuttered happily, grabbing her school bag, and opened her door. Hiro stood tall, he had a stern face and rough exterior, yet he was the kindest person Mikan had ever met. *

Mikan stepped out of her limo and immediately felt all eyes on her.

'Is that the skank?' 'No way...' 'Since when did she get a glow up?' 'Ugh! She cut her hair!' 'Who does she think she is!?' *Everyone whispered to each other, pointing and looking at the once timid and fearful nurse.

Ibuki: "Mikan?!" Ibuki looked pleasantly shocked, she looked mikan up and down. She no longer had and bandages on her legs and arms, she was wearing a small bit of make up, the bags under her eyes had cleared up a lot, and it didn't seem like she was about to cry.

Mikan: "H-Hi..Ibuki..." Ibuki ran and gave her a hug. Wow, she was so proud of her friend.

Ibuki: "I'm so happy! Look at yoooou!!!" Ibuki smiles
