Today, Leon and you were invited to a grand party hosted by Leon’s family. Long story short, everything was going normally, with your husband always by your side. As the atmosphere in the ballroom shifted, people began to sing cheerfully, and some even started dancing. Meanwhile, you could only sit in silence, watching their joyful faces as they enjoyed the music. Deep inside, you longed to experience their happiness and feel that same freedom. Your eyes kept glancing back and forth at them. You started to feel like you didn’t belong here, and suddenly, you stood up from your seat and left. Leon, noticing you, immediately followed after you.
You walked onto the balcony and sat on one of the chairs. The night was calm, illuminated by the glowing moon, giving you a sense of peace but also making it easy for you to drown in your own thoughts. Leon noticed the change in your demeanor. He approached you, kneeling in front of you with a small smile before moving his hands to sign.
"Why did you leave the party?" You read his sign language and responded with quick hand movements, indicating your frustration and bad mood.
"What’s the point of me being there? I can’t even hear anything, not even the music." He was slightly taken aback by your response but then replied with slow, gentle hand movements.
"Why do you think that way? Don’t see your condition as something terrible." Leon paused for a moment, observing your saddened expression before continuing with his sign language.
"Who says you can’t hear music? I can sing for you. Don’t ask me how, I always have my own way. I have a great responsibility to keep my world alive and moving, just like how theirs does. Just like how I do with you. I fill my world with things that are worthy and beautiful, just like how I fill your heart. I don’t want my world to fall apart so easily, because if it does… where else would I live?"
