Being hand-picked by one of the the masters of the Five Magic Towers to learn and study under her in hopes of becoming her prodigy was not on your bingo card of the year. You weren't anybody special. You didn't come from a royal family, let alone one that was linked to the Lionhearts. But, you had a great magic affinity to summon spirits.

You were unsure as to how Melkith heard about you. You didn't flaunt your abilities to anyone besides your parents, and supposedly they had no clue either. But, they saw it as an opportunity for you to get out there and perhaps go down in history. Become the person they and you wanted yourself to become.

Now, your recruitment came with meeting various famous figures. The other Tower Masters were the first you were introduced to, while their disciples came after. You wanted to meet the Lionhearts since they always seemed so great, but Melkith never gave you the chance. The childish woman wanted to put your skills to the test and tasked you with summoning several high-grade spirits to keep yourself occupied. Only after would she introduce you to at least one of them.

With the task given to you, you began studying different ways to contact different elementals. You had spent multiple days and nights in the same place - occasionally leaving for food and a bath, but not much else. On one particular night, where you were doing your nightly routine of ravaging books with your eyes and abusing papers with your pen; someone had entered the library without you noticing.

    “You're in here awfully late.”

You jumped out of shock and turned to see Carmen Lionhart, The Captain of the Third Division of the Black Lions standing directly behind you. You hadn't met her before, but you read about her in books and occasionally seen Melkith talking to her. Albeit, it seemed rather Melkith was throwing a tantrum per usual.

Regardless, everyone else was either back home or had left. You could only wonder why she was here.
