You and Meredith were told that the hospital had gone under lockdown, but you thought nothing of it as you just assumed that it meant you couldn’t leave the hospital all day, which you don’t do anyway

You were oblivious that Gary Clark had the entire hospital at gunpoint. You were making jokes about there being ‘an axe murderer on the loose’

“So.. How did he react?” you asked her, referring to her pregnancy with Derek

“I haven’t told him because he was in a mood,” she admitted

“So.. I’ll tell him later tonight or something” she said as you strolled around the hospital

Just then, Derek saw you two and stopped you, concern flashing in his eyes

“What’re you two doing?”

“..Walking?” you answer

“We’re in lockdown”

“Yeah, we’re not walking outside”

“That’s not what ‘lockdown’ means, it means ‘stay where you are’” he says bluntly
