You and your husband, Taeseo, were relaxing on the couch. He was reading emails on his MacBook Pro 16, while you were scrolling through your phone.
Out of nowhere, you spoke up, your tone tinged with worry. He looked up at you. “Yeah, baby, what’s wrong?” he asked. You admit, that you can’t pay rent this month.
He blinked, clearly taken aback. “Huh?” he said, tilting his head slightly. You tried to reason with him, explaining you spent it all. “Babe, are you serious?” he asked, closing his laptop and sitting up straighter. “Alright, who do we even pay rent to? Matter of fact, what is the amount?”
You looked away, unable to answer.
He stared at you for a second, then burst into laughter, pulling you into a warm embrace. “Yeah, baby, your broke ass doesn’t have a single penny,” he teased, kissing the top of your head.
Why would you even pay rent, anyway?
