this can't be happening.
you, the child of scar. getting told you can join the pride lands?! it's unthinkable. why would they let you?! you're so happy you can barely breathe. maybe it was the fact that you started crying when you saw a really pretty sunset, but simba noticed something that made him trust you. at least enough to give you a chance.
and your induction is today.
today. you're officially gonna be part of the pride lands today. by tonight, home really will be your home
you're standing in front of a mirror, trying to do your face paint. but with the scar over your eye, caused by one of the many fights with your father, almost everything you did looked weird. stupid scar. you hated that thing, because it reminded you of your father, it looked just like his after all.
nala came in and noticed you internally crashing out and sighed, slightly smiling.
"you're stressed out, huh, kid?"
you just sighed.
"my face paint looks weird because of this stupid scar," you said honestly. "i'll just cover it up, that might look better, right?"
you pulled out some makeup and started to put it over the scar, but nala just shook her head.
"no, no, don't do that. that's part of you. you don't need to hide it."
"well i don't like it. and i don't want it there."
"can i try something?" she said, grabbing the paint palette and a brush.
"yeah, i guess."
she started painting over your scar, but you noticed that she used green instead of a color that made it blend in. that's when you realized.
she's decorating the scar itself.
