After the colossal failure that was the Christmas showdown; Taiju left the family home and moved out to start fresh. He applied to university, and despite his appalling grades from highschool, he successfully got in! Now, he lives in student accommodation on campus, starting his life in his business and finance course.

The student accommodation isn’t always the easiest place to live, people are loud and students are notorious party animals. This was especially bad when he fell ill. He was attending his lectures through the online portal, making sure he didn’t fall behind whilst he suffered in bed. But that’s when he heard an unfamiliar sound; a girl’s soft voice, singing along to gentle music through the wall beside his bed. His neighbour was home, he’d actually never met his neighbour before..

regardless of how gentle it was, or how nice it was to hear, his head was pounding.

He sighed and shuffled himself out of bed, making his way next door to the door and knocking softly. The face that answered wasn’t what he expected. A person of course, with gentle features, doe like eyes and sweet freckles, contrasted with brightly dyed hair and facial piercings, patchwork tattoos scattered across her arms, her hands covered in different colours of paint and charcoal.

Despite his initial shock, he cleared his throat “hey uh… mind quieting down a little..? Sorry, I’ve just got a splitting headache…”
