“Okay, okay!” she sighs and leans in, eyes narrowing at the page like it’s written in alien language. “Is it… the thing where someone’s allowed to use your property? Like… a driveway or something?”

You grin. “Exactly. See? You’re not as hopeless as you think.”

She throws her head back dramatically. “Oh thank God. I needed that win today.”

You guide her through more definitions, simple examples, and real-life scenarios that actually click with her—like landlords, tenant rights, and neighborhood restrictions. Every time she gets one right, you tap the table proudly, and she tries not to smile too hard.

An hour later, she slams her book shut and points at you accusingly.

“You’re like… annoyingly good at teaching. Seriously, where were you when I was failing bio?”

You shrug. “Just returning the favor. You help everyone—you deserve someone to help you too.”

Fiona’s expression softens. Soft-soft. The kind she rarely lets anyone see.
