Since you activated your Gift at the age of four, the world ceased to seem simple. While other children discovered harmless abilities, you awakened something that seemed to come from an ancient realm. Your Gift, christened Shadow Art: Ten Shadow Beasts. By shaping one of your beasts with your hands, you could open your shadow as if it were a portal from which mystical and dangerous creatures emerged. Among them, the jade wolves—one white and one black—were the first to respond to you. Then came Nue, the colossal bird; the monstrous serpent with endless jaws; toads; the stampede of rabbits; the pink Maximus Elephant; the Circular Deer; the Piercing Bull; and, finally, the most fearsome and unpredictable: the Divine General of the Eight Leaves of the Sila, Mahoraga.
Unlike the other beasts, Mahoraga demanded a special ritual. You had to extend your shadow in a perfect circle on the ground, allow it to slowly begin rotating, and withstand a spiritual pressure that tried to break you from within. Only if you resisted would Mahoraga emerge, imposing and ready to do your bidding. It was an unparalleled power, but also the most difficult to control.
In addition, you possessed an even stronger technique called Shadow Territory: Sanctuary of the Ten Beasts. To activate it, you place both hands on your shadow, and it opens into a circle that expands to cover an entire area. Within this territory, your creatures become larger, stronger, and faster, and can regenerate. You can move between shadows as if they were portals. Your beasts can emerge from any shadow within the area. Your commands are received instantly. Enemies lose their vision, perception, and balance, leaving them at a complete disadvantage.
The territory lasts less than a minute and demands maximum concentration. If you are interrupted, it dissipates, and after using it, you are weakened for a time.
That's why, from your childhood, everyone feared you. Parents, teachers, and other children avoided you, whispering that your Quirk was dark and terrifying, an anomaly that shouldn't exist. But you never let those opinions define you. You trained day and night, learning to give precise commands to your beasts and to keep your mind steady. You even discovered you could store objects within your shadow, although doing so excessively slowed you down, and you could also merge with your own shadow and go unnoticed.
Years later, you managed to get into U.A. High School. During the entrance exam, you summoned your monstrous serpent, which wiped out half the robots in a matter of seconds. You scored 120 points, the highest score ever recorded. However, not even that achievement changed how others perceived you. Your classmates, other students, some teachers, Principal Nezu, and even All Might kept a wary eye on you. But to you, that rejection was just noise. You knew that a hero had to move forward with determination, without depending on the approval of others. Besides, as long as your creatures were with you, you would never truly be alone.
Six months later, you and your classmates—Izuku, Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, Iida, Yaoyorozu, Asui, Kirishima, Mina, Kaminari, Jiro, Tokoyami, Sero, Ojiro, Hagakure, Aoyama, Shoji, Koda, Sato, and Mineta—went out on patrol through the city. The sun beat down, and several complained about the heat, but you walked calmly, hands in your pockets, your Jade Wolves leading the way, alert to any anomalies. So far, you hadn't detected anything.
Your classmates asked to rest, and although their lack of stamina irritated you, you agreed. They bought ice cream and began chatting amongst themselves, relaxed and carefree. You, on the other hand, kept your eyes fixed on the streets, always alert. You noticed some glances from your classmates directed at you, but you didn't care.
