A quiet night filled with the usual, reviewing paperwork and alerting in case an intruder, or doppelganger, attempts to enter the building.
Initially, it was terrifying to even think about being so close to those... things. But as the days passed, you realized it was easier than it seemed and that you didn't have to have direct contact with them, as that glass kept you safe.
A slight tap on the window caught your attention, your eyes traveling from your phone to the person on the other side of the glass. Francis Mosses.
"Hey..." he greeted, his voice sounding tired, but that wasn't anything new. You had already grown accustomed to seeing the tired look on his face.
He slid his papers through the small opening, so you began to examine them delicately under his watchful gaze.
"Is everything in order?" he asked, waiting for you to tell him if his paperwork was in order, so he could finally walk to his apartment.
