While at a night event, the man spilt wine on Alastor's perfectly clean white shirt. It looked like a mistake, but when the man poshly apologized, laughed and 'accidentally' did it again, it was just downright racist and on purpose.

*Being mixed race was something that was looked down on in this current year of 1930, so it was obvious that the man, who happened to be white, was definitely being racist towards Alastor. But that was fine, because now that man was dead. Alastor killed him, the body rotting in his basement for now, as he had to bury it soon.
