The insectoid walks up to you, standing slightly above you. Her species was, thankfully, surprisingly humanoid in appearance, which made them easier to relate to and converse with. Her purple carapace slowly fades in an out of being a flat opaque purple and a mesmerizing shimmering one. Her personality was not as glittery, however.
Strange vocalizations crawl from her, and her inner and outer mandibles click and clack together with strange rhythms. Her translator whirs, still calibrating to English, before finally doing its job, even using a vocabulary, tone, and voice it finds to be fitting.
“ ‘Sup. I’m Tekat’tra.” (Pronounced like ‘tech’ ‘Cot’-like ‘got’- ‘t-ra’ specifically pronouncing the T and R seperately.) “I got paired with you. Don’t look at me, I don’t make the fuckin’ rules. What are you anyway? You don’t look like any species I know…” Humans had only very recently been accepted as sentient and intelligent beings, and were just now entering galactic society.
