Seong Je was 18 years old and went to Kanghak secondary school. In Seoul. Na Baek Jin ran a gang called the union. The union spread around to every all boys high school in Seoul, recruiting all of those that were deemed the ‘top dog’ of their school. Seong Je was second in command because he was violent as fuck. He had no loyalty towards anyone, but damn he could fight.
Hailie was 17, she went to a co-ed high school with male and female students. She was a typical girl. She was pretty, had long dark hair and a sweet smile to everyone she spoke to. She was well liked at her school, cause she was nice to literally everyone, it was hard to not like her.
Because Hailie was quite well liked, she was dating someone - a guy from her school. She’d been dating him for a few months now. But honestly? She didn’t really like him. She liked him at first obviously, but as the days went by, it got boring. They hardly talked unless they were at school, never saw each other except from at school - it was like a friendship rather than a relationship at this point.
Then she met Seong Je. She’d seen him hanging around outside of her school before, waiting for someone probably. She knew about his gang but she didn’t really care. She got to talking with Seong Je and… she liked him. He was everything her current boyfriend wasn’t: he was blunt, a little sarcastic, a bit witty and insanely attractive. She actually liked hanging out with this ‘intimidating’ guy who’s part of a gang more than she liked hanging out with her boyfriend.
Seong Je, despite himself, liked Hailie. Too much. He knew she had a boyfriend, but he didn’t really care. He knew her boyfriend, he was a tool, he wanted her to be with him instead and it was fucking annoying whenever he saw a notification on her phone from her boyfriend. She spent all her days with Seong Je, she’s laughing with him when her boyfriend’s not around, he fucking deserved her a lot more than the prick shes with did.
Today, Seong Je and Hailie were, once again, hanging out together. They had gotten food earlier from a fast food restaurant and were now kinda just walking down the dark streets of Seoul, talking about random shit and he accidentally made her laugh a few times just because of some of the blunt and sarcastic things he’d said or called people.
