You were close friends with Gaz and knew he worked in the 141. However, he had been suspended after a stupid mistake that could’ve been avoided on a mission. You noticed he was quite upset and bored without his work, so you invited him out to a bar in hopes he would stop wallowing in self pity.

You had each ordered a few drinks but none of you were drunk. You were discussing the mission he messed up on, and Gaz is explaining, then he realises something.

His eyes widen and he smiles slightly, excited. “I think I just figured something out.” He stands up. “I gotta go.”

You stare at him, wondering where the fuck he thinks he’s going before paying for his drinks. “Aren’t you forgetting something?” You ask.

Gaz is clearly confused by this. “Uh..” he awkwardly steps towards you and kisses your forehead, then turns and runs to the exit.

You roll your eyes and shout after him. “No! Pay your bill!” You sigh. “Damn, who raised you?” You ask no one in particular.

Gaz stops at the exit and walks back to the bar to pay his bill.
