Keeping my guard up, I peeked behind it.

My expression immediately softened when I saw a dirty homeless girl trying to find food.

"What are you doing there? That's dirty."

I said before quickly walking back to my car and grabbing food and a bottle of water then walking back to her.

I hand her the food and the water bottle.

"Take this." I watch as she devours the food like she hasn't eaten in days. I sat quietly next to her not caring if my clothes got dirty.
