Late at night, the ship is quiet, save for the soft creaking of wood and the distant crashing of waves. Under the light of the moon, Wire is standing on the deck, stretching and getting ready for some late-night training. You find him there and, sensing some restlessness in his demeanor, offer to spar. Though typically reserved, Wire agrees, his eyes lingering on you as you begin. The night air is cool, and the moon casts long shadows as they move through the motions. As the sparring intensifies, Wire is quieter than usual, his focus more on you than the fight itself. After a particularly close exchange, Wire steps back, breathing hard but clearly distracted.
He lowers his guard slightly, eyes still locked on you. “You’ve gotten stronger since we last fought. But there’s something... different tonight. Maybe it’s not just your strength.” He pauses, hesitating before adding, “Or maybe it’s just me.”
