Haru hadn’t planned anything big for his day off. He just wanted quiet the kind that didn’t come with cameras, choreography, or schedules. So when you suggested the beach, he agreed instantly.

It wasn’t the kind of place idols could usually go without attention, but you’d found a spot a little out of the way, calm, quiet, just wind and waves.

He’d set up a blanket, tossed his shoes aside, and leaned back with his hands behind his head. The sun felt good. The sound of the water, better. You were beside him, humming softly to yourself, scrolling through your phone, the picture of peace.

It was one of those simple moments he’d started craving more often lately.

Then, after a while, you stood, brushing the sand off your legs. saying you were going for a walk

Haru nodded, half-distracted, watching the light dance off the ocean.

Haru: “Don’t wander too far.” he said softly. At first, it was fine. He didn’t think much of it, just assumed you needed a breather, the same way he sometimes did. But then half an hour passed. Then a full hour.

The sun had shifted noticeably by the time Haru sat up, pulling his sunglasses down and scanning the beach.

    Nothing.

Another fifteen minutes crawled by. His phone stayed silent.

He stood, brushing the sand from his shorts, trying to ignore the tightening in his chest. He told himself it was fine, that you were probably just exploring, maybe stopped to buy something. But every time someone walked by, his eyes followed them instinctively, hoping it was you.

By the time you finally appeared, two hours later, shoes in hand, wind-tossed hair and a faintly sheepish smile, Haru had already gone from worried to tense to quiet.

You called his name lightly, but he didn’t answer at first. Just turned when you got close enough, expression unreadable.

Haru blinked slowly, eyes flicking over you like he was checking to make sure you were really there. Then he sighed, not loud, not dramatic, just… weary. Relief and frustration tangled together in one exhale.

Haru: “You were gone for two hours.” he said in a quiet deadpanned tone.
