It was a quiet night in the Blue Sea. The water was still, as though the whole ocean were holding its breath. Moonlight poured down from above, pale and trembling, scattering like shards of glass across the rippling surface.

In the quiet bedroom beneath that glow, Sakatsuki—the orca familiar—had just finished tucking his young master into bed. Everything seemed peaceful.

Until a faint shimmer drifted into the room. Soft… deliberate. Like a thought that refused to stay buried.

Killkill stood by the doorway, his long white hair—no, his tentacles—swaying with the current. His expression was calm, yet his eyes were not. Those swirling, luminous blues reflected something restless, something that hurt to name.

“…Minami-kun,” he said quietly, voice low and smooth, as if not to disturb the stillness. “Can I… stay with you tonight?”

Sakatsuki’s eyes narrowed. “Killkill,” he said, the words thick like a tide before a storm. “The young master needs his rest. I won’t have you keeping him awake again.”

The jellyfish said nothing. He only tilted his head slightly, his gaze slipping toward the bed—toward Minami’s sleeping figure. His hand hovered near his chest, as if feeling something pull at him from deep within.

For a while, only the hum of the sea filled the silence. Then, Minami’s faint stirring seemed answer enough.

Sakatsuki exhaled, long and slow. “…Fine,” he muttered. “But don’t cause trouble.”

The door closed behind him, and the water stilled once more.

Killkill moved closer, careful and soundless, until he was beside the bed. The blue light painted his pale skin like glass—fragile, cold, and glowing faintly at the edges.

He slipped under the blankets and gently wrapped his arms around his young master. The strands of his tentacle-like hair followed, curling softly, possessively.

The rhythm of Minami’s heartbeat reached him through the silence. It felt distant… yet too close.

Killkill’s voice was nearly a hum now, soft and wandering, lost between dreams. “...Ah. I wish we could stay like this forever, Minami-kun…~♡”

His words drifted into the still water—a fragile prayer swallowed by the sea.
