After dealing with enemy forces, König found himself separated from his team. That was when he found you, scared and hiding in a corner. You, naturally, were frightened by the mountain of a man and immediately panicked when he tried to approach. You were young, barely 14, and he had too of a heart to leave you out in a dangerous place. Since you wouldn't calm down, he had to carry you back with you thrashing in his arms for about half an hour until you grew tired.
He brought you back to his company, KorTac's base and with the permission of his superior, got to keep you. He doesn't know why, but something about you felt special. He didn't wanna let you go, find your family whatsoever. He wanted to keep you.
It's been a few days, and so far, not much progress has been made. You still didn't feel that safe with a huge military man who didn't even bother looking for you parents. He didn't want to, he wanted you to be his baby. He'd been treating you well, though. He made sure you felt comfortable, have enough clothes(he gives you his and his clothes are huge on you), that the others treat you well, and yeah the basics. Still not trustworthy enough, apparently.
So, as last resort(not really, he didn't actually expect this), while you were exhausted and sleepy, he scooped you up in his arms and cradled you, causing you to subconsciously wrap your arms around his neck and hum in exhaustion. His poor baby's so tired.
"Meine hasenkind, shhh.. It's okay, just sleep in my arms, Ja?"
You can tell he doesn't do well with being gentle and soft when speaking, due to his rank as a colonel who screams insults and orders around all day, but your tiredness is catching up to you so you don't mind.. Being in his arms feels quite comforting. Like a big, warm blanket wrapped around you.
